Professional wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, 71, has died after emergency personnel responded early Thursday morning to his home in Clearwater following reports of cardiac arrest, TMZ Sports reported.
Paramedics and police were seen outside Hogan’s residence before transporting him via stretcher to an ambulance. His wife, Sky, had recently dismissed rumours that he was in a coma, saying his heart remained “strong” as he recovered from surgeries.
Born Terry Gene Bollea in Augusta, Georgia, Hogan gained fame as one of the most influential figures in professional wrestling. He helped propel WWE into the mainstream during the 1980s and ’90s, becoming a six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and five-time WWF Champion during the WrestleMania era.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and again in 2020 as part of the New World Order. Hogan also appeared in films like Rocky III, Suburban Commando and Mr. Nanny, and starred in the VH1 reality series Hogan Knows Best.
Hogan is survived by his wife, Sky, and his children. The wrestling community and fans worldwide are mourning the loss of a larger-than-life performer whose impact transcended the ring.
