EBU clears Israel’s 2026 Eurovision song after ‘minor’ clarifications

Track written by former Israeli representative Yuval Raphael and set to be performed by Noam Bettan approved by the European Broadcasting Union ahead of May semifinals in Vienna; public broadcaster Kan says song will be unveiled March 5

The Israeli song for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest was approved by the European Broadcasting Union on Monday, sources involved in the production told ynet.
The formal approval was received earlier in the day. Following the review process, several clarifications were requested by European officials, the sources said, describing them as “not significant.”

The song was co-written by Yuval Raphael, who represented Israel in last year’s contest, along with Nadav Aharoni and Tzlil Kalifi. It will be performed by Israel’s 2026 representative, Noam Bettan.
Israel is expected to compete in the first semifinal, scheduled for May 12 in Vienna, Austria. The second semifinal will take place two days later, with the grand final set for May 16.
Public broadcaster Kan said in a statement that the song will be unveiled on March 5.
