Singer-songwriter scanceled a planned U.S. concert tour at the last minute after arriving at Ben Gurion Airport, citing concerns over escalating tensions with Iran and the possibility of being stranded abroad.
Ribo and members of his band had reached the airport en route to the United States when they decided to turn back and return home. According to a statement, the decision was made out of concern that a potential expansion of hostilities with Iran could leave them stuck overseas for an extended period.
In a message to ticket holders in the United States, Ribo wrote: “Dear audience, in light of the situation and the high level of alert in Israel, we have decided to postpone our upcoming U.S. tour.”
“In sensitive moments like these, we felt the right thing to do was to remain in the Land of Israel and stand alongside our families,” he added. “We greatly appreciate your understanding and support. We promise to reschedule the tour as soon as it is possible and safe to do so. Am Yisrael Chai.”
No new dates for the tour were immediately announced.
