Five months after they announced on Instagram that they were expecting a baby girl, Shay Alalo, Yair Lapid's daughter-in-law gave birth on Wednesday, making the opposition leader a grandfather at the age of 60.
"Hello Naomi, welcome to the world," the excited grandfather shared with his 177,000 followers on his Instagram account alongside a photo with his son and new granddaughter.
Yoav, Lapid's son from his first marriage, was married in September 2022 in a high-profile wedding under heavy security with quite a few famous friends. We congratulate the new parents and the young grandfather.
