Still America's sexiest uncle: John Stamos celebrates 62 in his underwear

The actor just turned 62, but let’s be real—Uncle Jesse is still stealing hearts (and maybe a few Instagram likes) with a sultry rooftop shower snap; fans and co-stars are swooning, proving that sex appeal only gets better with age—yes, even for men in their 60s!

John Stamos just turned 62, and while that’s a milestone worth celebrating, for many, he’ll always be Uncle Jesse from Full House. The rock ’n’ roll uncle raised a generation of kids on wholesome family TV while simultaneously becoming an unofficial ’90s sex symbol, thanks to his flowing hair, sideburns and guitar in hand. Three decades later, Stamos is still proving his Calvin Klein–poster charm hasn’t faded.
To mark his birthday, the actor posted what today would be called a “thirst trap” on Instagram: a sultry shower shot on the roof of a New York hotel, exuding full “I’m sexy and I know it” vibes. Alongside the image he wrote, “At 62 I’ve learned that the best things in life—love, laughter, gratitude—don’t wash away.”

Fans and former Full House castmates cheered him on in the comments, with Candace Cameron Bure writing “Uncle J forever,” Dave Coulier adding a joke in true Uncle Joey fashion, and even Stamos’s wife, Caitlin, clarifying to followers that the steamy photo was indeed her husband, not their young son.
While gossip outlets often praise women over 60 for bikini photos, Stamos’s post highlights that men, too, deserve recognition for aging gracefully—and attractively. The lesson: sex appeal doesn’t disappear with age, it simply evolves. If society objectifies older women in swimsuits, then maybe it’s time to equally celebrate older men in their underwear.
