As part of the upcoming annual Israeli music countdown hosted by Ynet and Army Radio on Wheels, rapper Tuna and singer-songwriter Odeya came together for a special live session featuring a new rendition of Tuna’s song Hashem Yerachem (God Have Mercy), with an original verse written and performed by Odeya.
The emotional track, which speaks to the longing for love and a “safe place,” appears on Tuna’s latest studio album Rovim VeTaltalim (Guns and Curls), and has been embraced by listeners. It is one of the nominees for Song of the Year.

Both artists have stood out over the past year. Tuna, a veteran rapper known for his introspective and socially charged lyrics, released two surprise albums in the Hebrew year 5785: Rovim VeTaltalim and Rap Metoraff (Crazy Rap). Both became instant hits and are nominated for Album of the Year.
Three tracks made it onto Army Radio on Wheels’s playlist: Hashem Yerachem, Kesher BaTiktzoret (Communication Breakdown - a collaboration with singer Haim Moshe) and Kashe BeKadur Ha’aretz (It's Hard on Planet Earth). A planned concert at Rishon Lezion's Live Park, postponed due to the June war against Iran, is now expected to be rescheduled. Tuna is also a nominee for Musician of the Year.
Odeya, meanwhile, led the charts this year with the highest number of nominated songs. In addition to her own hits like Parparim (Butterflies), Reshimat Kniyot (Shppoing List - a collaboration with rap duo Ness and Stilla) and Papi, she also penned successful tracks for other artists, including Lo Ekhpat Li (I Don't Care) performed by Frida and Malkat HaDor (Queen of the Generation) by Omer Adam. She is nominated for Song of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (Yalda Shel Emuna, Girl of Faith) and Concert of the Year.
The filmed session with Tuna and Odeya took place live at the Camel venue in Hod Hasharon and symbolizes the blurring of genre lines in Israel’s contemporary music scene.
The annual Ynet-Army Radio on Wheels countdown, hosted by Dalit Rechester, will be broadcast live on September 21 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time from the Ynet studio. The show will air in Hebrew and announce the top musical figures of 5785.
