A slip of the tongue during a live QVC broadcast turned viral after host Toni Brattin tried to describe the blowout look of a wig she was demonstrating, but accidentally used an explicit sexual phrase instead.
“It looks like you went and got a blow job at the salon,” Brattin said before immediately correcting herself. Realizing what she had said as she continued the demonstration, the veteran presenter quietly whispered, “Oh my God.”
Brattin, who has worked in television for 30 years, later told TMZ that she tried to continue as though nothing had happened but immediately knew there was no taking the words back. She said she hoped the producers would cut to another camera. When they did not, she froze for several seconds before continuing with the product presentation.
By the end of the broadcast, Brattin said, everyone was able to laugh about the incident. The following day, QVC staff contacted her to reassure her. According to Brattin, the network treated her kindly, thanked her for maintaining her professionalism during the embarrassing moment and encouraged her to keep handling the unpredictability of live television with the composure she had shown throughout her career.

QVC also responded to the viral video on social media. “Kudos to Brattin for the professional recovery,” the network wrote. “Is there an award for best recovery from a live-TV flub?”
Brattin said she did not realize just how widely the clip had spread until a friend told her that Jimmy Fallon had shown it on his late-night program. She responded by sending Fallon a message saying she had a wig she had been saving especially for him and invited him to get in touch so she could give it to him as a birthday present.
