Eden Golan, Israel’s representative at last year’s Eurovision Song Contest, will announce the country’s points during the 2025 Eurovision final, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (Kan) confirmed on Sunday.
Golan, who finished in fifth place with the song "Hurricane" in 2024, will present the Israeli jury’s score to viewers across Europe during the final on May 17. Her performance last year was marred by hostile reactions from the audience, including loud boos during her performance.
In 2024, the task of announcing Israel’s points was given to radio presenter Maya Elkayam. However, Elkayam was forced to remove a pin symbolizing hostages from her clothing just moments before the broadcast, amid concerns that the European Broadcasting Union could impose sanctions on Israel.
