Dakota Johnson apparently has a type when it comes to romantic partners: musicians.
After her long-term relationship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and a shorter romance with singer Tucker Pillsbury, rumors are now linking Johnson to another musician: Machine Gun Kelly, the former partner of actress Megan Fox.
According to celebrity gossip account Deuxmoi, Johnson arrived Friday at Taylor Swift’s home in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood. Machine Gun Kelly arrived shortly afterward and was reportedly escorted inside by Johnson’s security guard. There was one notable twist: Swift was apparently not home at the time.
It is unclear what Johnson and Kelly did inside or whether Swift had offered up her home for a discreet date. But according to the same unverified reports, the pair later left together and went to a nearby hotel, where they spent the night.
The claims remain firmly in the realm of rumor and are far from enough to establish that the two are romantically involved. Still, there are connections between their social circles. Johnson is a close friend of Swift, while Travis Kelce and Machine Gun Kelly are longtime friends. Both Johnson and Kelly were reportedly among the roughly 1,000 guests at Swift and Kelce’s wedding.
Johnson is also newly single. Just last month, Pillsbury confirmed that the two had been dating following eight months of speculation. Johnson also appeared on a song from his new album, but the relationship appears to have ended shortly afterward.

Before Pillsbury, Johnson was engaged to Martin during an eight-year, on-again, off-again relationship. Their latest — and potentially final — split came in June 2025.
Kelly, meanwhile, was in a relationship with Fox for about 4½ years. The former couple share a daughter, Saga, who is about 1½ years old. She was born in March 2025, several months after the couple separated.
