Israel’s largest car importer, Colmobil, has secured exclusive rights to distribute Chinese car brands Jaecoo and Omoda in Austria, marking its first step into the European market.
The move follows a successful debut year for Jaecoo in Israel, where the Jaecoo 7 became the country’s best-selling vehicle in the first half of 2025.

Colmobil, which already imports Hyundai, Mitsubishi and Mercedes-Benz, plans to launch the Jaecoo 7, Jaecoo 5 and Omoda 7 in Austria later this year. While the Austrian auto market is growing, it remains smaller than Israel’s, with 254,000 new vehicle registrations in 2024 compared to Israel’s 272,000.

Meanwhile, Delek Motors—importer of Mazda, Ford, BMW, NIO and Dongfeng brands—has completed its acquisition of full ownership of leasing firm Eurodrive by exercising its purchase option. The move positions Delek Motors as another importer with a captive leasing arm, a strategic asset expected to enhance car distribution and marketing.

The acquisition also introduces Delek Motors to the two-wheeler and recreational vehicle segments, as Eurodrive recently entered the import business with licenses for six brands in motorcycles, ATVs and utility vehicles. Last year, Delek Motors acquired Dongfeng’s import rights from Metro Motor, previously led by Tomer Komorov, who now manages Eurodrive.
Earlier this year, Frisbee (formerly Carasso Motors) purchased Metro Motor, a key importer of two-wheeled vehicles from brands including SYM, Kawasaki and Yamaha, as well as off-road and marine vehicles.
