Speculation over a possible relationship between U.S. national soccer team star Christian Pulisic and American actress Sydney Sweeney has dominated Italian media in recent days.
The rumors began circulating last week, after the Instagram page DNA da Bomber (@dnadabomber) posted the initial report, which quickly went viral.

On Saturday night, following AC Milan’s 3–0 win over Verona in which Pulisic scored the opening goal, the American forward addressed the rumors and put them to rest.
The story gained rapid traction on social media, generating a flood of reactions, memes and speculation, particularly in Italy.
Pulisic addressed the speculation in an Instagram Story, calling for an end to unfounded reports about his private life. “Please stop with the made up stories about my personal life,” the 27-year-old wrote. “Need to hold sources accountable it can affect people’s lives.”
Responding to a separate post linking him to Sweeney, Pulisic added: “Fake news, guys. Let’s stop this silly rumor.”
In reality, the AC Milan forward is in a relationship with professional golfer Alexa Melton. Sweeney, meanwhile, is reportedly dating music executive Scooter Braun. A source told People magazine in December that “Scooter and Sydney are going strong and things between them are great,” describing the relationship as “committed and serious.”
Sweeney and Braun were first photographed together in June at the Venice wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez. The pair confirmed their relationship publicly last month after being spotted kissing in New York’s Central Park.
