In an unusual move, a host of international TikTok stars were invited by Israel to attend the 74th anniversary of the Knesset, set to take place later on Monday.
In honor of its 74th birthday, the parliament officials have arranged exclusive tours on for thousands of students, soldiers, policemen, senior citizens, youth movement activists, and VIP guests, including social media stars.
The festivities will kick off with a tree planting ceremony in the Knesset Archeological Park, led by Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana.
"Looking back on the 74 years of the Knesset, it can be proud of the many challenges it overcame and of the accomplishments it brought upon the sovereign state, the people of Zion," said Ohana.
The Knesset plenum will later convene for a festive session in the presence of President Isaac Herzog and Supreme Court Chief Justice Esther Hayut.
As part of the celebrations, the Foreign Ministry also invited TikTok influencers from around the world, who are invited to share the exclusive diplomatic visit with their millions of followers.
Among the celebs are British influencer Katie Franklin with some 2.6 million followers, Vivien Sapi - voted one of the ten most popular TikTokers in Hungary, and British TikToker Warren Robie who has 3.2 million followers. There will also be influencers from Italy, Romania, Ireland, and Czechia.
The foreign TikTokers will be escorted through the event by some of Israel's local social media stars, including Eviatar Ozeri who has some 10 million followers, Shahar Livne with four million followers, and body artist Vika Bren with three million followers.
