Actress Kaley Cuoco, 40, star of The Big Bang Theory, announced that she and her fiancé Tom Pelphrey, 43, are expecting their second child, revealing that the baby is a girl.
Cuoco shared family photos on Wednesday, the first of which revealed the baby’s gender with a large cake filled with pink. Cuoco wrote: “Completing our little family. What a dream come true. This second time around journey has been a little windier in many ways, but wow we are so grateful for this moment!!. Little sissy on the way!!! !”
Their first daughter, Matilda, was born in 2023. Cuoco in the post called Pelphrey “girl dad for life.” Among the photos, she included an ultrasound image showing the baby making a cheeky gesture, captioning it: “Yes, the last pic is our dainty princess giving us the middle finger!”
The heartfelt post has already received hundreds of thousands of likes and thousands of comments. Among those congratulating the couple were Jennifer Aniston, who wrote “Yay!” with hearts (and received a reply from an Israeli fan, Lior Malachi, writing in Hebrew “Soon for you”), Simon Helberg, who played Howard on "The Big Bang Theory," and other celebrities including Michelle Pfeiffer, Justin Theroux, Rikki Lake, Alyssa Milano, and Lisa Rinna.
Cuoco and Pelphrey met in 2022, became parents a year later, and got engaged in 2024. Cuoco had previously admitted that, although they were engaged, they hadn’t started planning the wedding and had joked: “Maybe we’ll have another kid first.” She added: “We don’t go in order, that’s our plan. I have four dogs and a baby, and that’s a lot!”
Cuoco has been married twice before. In 2013, she married former tennis player Ryan Sweeting, but they divorced three years later. In 2018, she married Karl Cook, but that marriage also lasted just three years.
After her divorces, Cuoco said her days as a married woman were over: “I want a long-term relationship, but I will never marry again. Absolutely not.”
