Woman from Coldplay Kiss Cam Affair speaks: 'My husband was also there, he knew I was close to my boss'

Kristin Cabot sat for an interviewed with Oprah Winfrey, and spoke about the evening that made her infamous; she said she 'thought it would be weird' to run into her estranged husband there, but it 'would have been better at the end of the day if I’d just run into him'

When Kristin Cabot walked into a Coldplay concert last July, she expected a pleasant night out with colleagues — including her boss, with whom she had developed a relationship that was perhaps closer than workplace norms allow.
But fate — and Chris Martin — had other plans, and by the end of the night she had become one of the most talked-about figures in the world.

For those who missed what became one of 2025’s biggest viral moments, Cabot and her boss, Andy Byron, were shown embracing on the stadium’s big screen during the concert, reacting nervously in a way that raised suspicions. Martin fueled the speculation when he told the crowd: “Look at them — either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.”
The clip quickly spread across social media and, once it emerged that both were married — but not to each other — the story dominated headlines for weeks.
It later emerged that Cabot was separated from her husband, Andrew, who was also in a relationship with someone else. Still, that did little to temper the backlash, as she became one of the most criticized figures of the year.
Now, with the storm subsiding, Cabot is attempting to rebuild her reputation — and has chosen to do so with Oprah Winfrey. Appearing on Winfrey’s podcast, she revealed that her husband had also been at the same concert.

“I was walking into the concert and my daughter messaged me and said, ‘Oh it’s so great that you and Andrew are both at Coldplay,’” Cabot said. “So she let me know that my estranged husband was also at the concert. And in my mind I thought, well that’s — is this going to be weird if he sees me with Andy [Byron]? Like … if I run into him,” she continues. “But then I was like, I’m in Gillette Stadium, there’s 55,000 people here, I’m probably not going to run into him.” She added with a wry smile: “That would have been better at the end of the day if I’d just run into him.”
She said her husband likely would not have been alarmed by seeing them together. “He knows how closely Andy and I worked together, he knows we socialized — like got lunches and got drinks. It was fine,”” she said. “He knows the nature of my work and the way, the relationships — I’ve shared desks with the CEOs I’ve worked with, like it’s just a very close relationship. And so it didn’t matter.”
At the time of the concert, both Cabot and Byron were separated from their spouses, though Cabot only filed for divorce afterward. Months later, in an interview with The Times, she said there had been no sexual relationship between them, describing a kiss at the concert as the extent of it.

“I made a bad decision,” she said. “I had a few drinks and danced with my boss inappropriately. It’s not nothing — I take responsibility. I gave up my career because of it. That’s the price I had to pay.”
She also described the intense public reaction, including ridicule, threats and harassment. “I want my children to know that it’s OK to make mistakes — even big ones — and that you shouldn’t receive death threats because of it,” she said.
Cabot has since sought to turn the episode into an opportunity. She is now offering services as a speaker on crisis management and is scheduled to appear at a conference next month, where she will discuss “taking control of the narrative” and strategies for handling media scandals.
Byron, for his part, has not publicly commented on the incident, and the status of his marriage remains unclear.
