Christmas was celebrated around the world over the weekend, a holiday especially beloved by the British royal family. As part of the long-standing tradition, the royals once again walked to St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham. In recent years it was Prince Louis, 7, who drew most of the attention, but this year the spotlight clearly belonged to Princess Charlotte.
The 10-year-old princess joined her parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, alongside her brothers George, the future king, and mischievous Louis, as well as her grandfather King Charles and other members of the royal family. In her case, the apple did not fall far from the tree, as Charlotte quickly became the most talked-about figure in the coldest country of the season.

Charlotte was seen shaking hands with well-wishers, thanking one excited admirer who handed her a gift. She accepted flowers, greeted fans warmly and at one especially charming moment handed her many presents to an aide before giving an emotional admirer a hug, which naturally turned into a selfie opportunity.
The young princess appeared genuinely moved by the public’s affection and lingered with the crowd until her father, the heir to the throne, had to call her several times to urge her to keep pace with the rest of the family. Charlotte did so with grace and a smile, thanked the fans once more, accepted a few more bouquets and hurried over to her older brother, giving him a gentle pat on the back before continuing on.
