Israel swelters under unseasonable warm spell as haze and clouds persist

Temperatures remain above average across the country despite a slight dip, with haze in the south and rain expected midweek in the north

Temperatures across Israel dipped slightly Monday but remained higher than average for this time of year, according to the national meteorological service
Skies were partly cloudy, with high-altitude cloud cover and a chance of light haze, particularly in the southern part of the country.

Unseasonably warm weather is expected to continue Tuesday with partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.
On Wednesday, local showers are forecast, mainly in the north, accompanied by a drop in temperatures, especially in the mountains and inland regions. Thursday will see little change in temperatures, with a chance of light local rain in the north during the morning and partly cloudy to clear skies throughout the day.
