Weather: Heading for a volatile temperature week

 By noon on Monday, drizzle to light local rain is possible in the north and center; On Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures are expected to rise and it will be hotter than usual

Temperatures Monday will be slightly below the seasonal average. Skies will be partly cloudy during the day, and until the afternoon hours light drizzle to localized light rain may fall in northern and central Israel. Monday night will be clear to partly cloudy.
By contrast, Tuesday will see a noticeable rise in temperatures, along with a drop in humidity, especially in the mountains and inland areas. Skies will generally be clear during the day, while in the afternoon northerly winds will strengthen along the coastal plain.

On Wednesday, temperatures will rise further and it will become hotter than usual to heatwave conditions. In the morning, strong easterly winds will blow in the north and in the central highlands, where haze is possible. Toward midday the winds will strengthen in southern Israel as well, and dust storms are expected there. In the afternoon, localized rain accompanied by isolated thunderstorms will begin to fall, mainly in southern and central Israel, with a risk of flash floods in the Negev, the Arava and the Judean Desert and Dead Sea streams.
On Thursday, temperatures will drop significantly and humidity will rise, with cloudy conditions. Localized rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected during the day, and in the morning flash floods may still occur in the Judean Desert and Dead Sea streams. Brisk winds will blow across most parts of the country.
