Snow falls in northern Golan for first time in two months; light rain expected by noon

Snow blankets Druze villages in the Golan Heights as temperatures dip below seasonal average; light rain forecast in central Israel and the Negev, gradual warming expected Sunday and Monday

Snow fell Thursday night in the Druze villages of the northern Golan Heights for the first time in more than two months, extending beyond Mount Hermon.
During the day, skies will be partly cloudy. Light, localized rain is expected through the late morning hours, mainly in central Israel and the Negev. Temperatures will drop slightly and remain a bit below the seasonal average.

On Saturday, temperatures will continue to be lower than usual for this time of year. Drizzles are still possible in the north and center, and frost is possible overnight in areas prone to it.
A warming trend is expected Sunday, with a further slight rise in temperatures on Monday, though they will still be slightly below average. From Monday afternoon, localized rain is possible, mainly in the central highlands.
