After morning cloud cover clears, Thursday will be pleasant. Temperatures will rise and be slightly above seasonal averages, particularly in the mountains and inland areas. Heat stress will worsen across most areas, while northerly winds will strengthen along the coastal plain from the afternoon.
Extreme heat stress is expected in the southern Golan Heights and its slopes, the northern valleys, Lower Galilee, the Kinneret Valley, the Dead Sea coast, the Jordan Valley and the Arava. Heavy heat stress is expected in the northern Golan Heights, Upper Galilee, Western Galilee, the Carmel and Menashe Heights, the coastal plain, the Shephelah, the central mountains, northern Negev, Judean Desert, eastern Negev and the Negev Highlands.
Partly cloudy conditions are expected overnight. On Friday, temperatures will rise further across most areas, with hotter-than-usual and dry conditions in the mountains and inland areas and humid conditions along the coastal plain. Extreme heat stress is expected across most areas.
On Saturday, temperatures will drop slightly, mainly in the mountains and inland areas, bringing some relief from the heat stress, although conditions will remain heavy to extreme across most areas. On Sunday, temperatures will continue to fall, mainly in the mountains and inland areas, returning to seasonal averages.
