Temperatures are expected to rise slightly Monday in Israel’s mountainous regions and inland areas, with partly cloudy to mostly clear skies forecast across much of the country.
Forecasters said strong easterly winds are expected to develop overnight into Tuesday morning in the northern mountains.
On Tuesday, temperatures will climb further to seasonal averages. Strong easterly winds are expected in the northern highlands during the morning, while brisk northerly winds are forecast along the coastal plain in the afternoon.
Another slight increase in temperatures is expected Wednesday. Skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy with high-level clouds. Strong easterly winds are expected in northern Israel and the central mountain region during the morning, followed by brisk northerly winds along the coast later in the day.
Temperatures are expected to drop Thursday, particularly in the mountains and inland areas, with partly cloudy skies. Local rain may develop in northern and central Israel starting in the afternoon.
