A further slight increase in temperatures is forecast for Wednesday, with haze possible in southern areas. Conditions will be partly cloudy, with strong easterly winds in the north and in the hills.
Local rainfall is expected to develop in most parts of Israel during the day, with a chance of thunderstorms. Rain and winds are expected to intensify overnight, raising the risk of flooding in desert streams in the Judean Desert, the Dead Sea region, the Negev and the Arava.
On Thursday, temperatures are expected to return to seasonal norms. Strong winds may persist in southern areas during the morning, with local rain continuing before tapering off later in the day. Flooding risks in desert areas are expected to remain.
A drop in temperatures is forecast for Friday.
