Weather forecast: Local rain and risk of flooding

Temperatures will be normal for the season, with light rain possible in the north and coast in the morning  and later in the east and south; at the same time, there is a chance of thunderstorms and local flooding

Sunday's weather will be partly to mostly cloudy, with temperatures near seasonal averages across most of the country. Light local rain is possible during the morning, mainly in northern Israel and along the coastal plain. Toward midday, local showers are expected in eastern and southern areas, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms. Flash floods are possible in streams near the Dead Sea, the Judean Desert and the northern Arava. Local rain may continue in eastern and southern Israel overnight.

Monday will remain partly to mostly cloudy, with a slight drop in temperatures. Local showers, mostly light, are possible during the morning, particularly in northern Israel and along the coastal plain. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged on Tuesday and Wednesday, although skies are expected to clear on Wednesday.
