Weather forecast: slight warming, local showers expected in north and mountains

Temperatures will remain near seasonal norms despite slight warming, with pre-dawn showers expected in northern Israel and along the coastal plain, followed by a mild cooldown Tuesday and a risk of flash flooding in the Judean Desert and Dead Sea areas

A slight rise in temperatures is expected Monday, mainly in central and southern Israel, though they will remain below the seasonal average. Skies will be partly cloudy, with local showers forecast by midday in the north and in the mountainous regions.
Toward early morning, scattered showers accompanied by isolated thunderstorms are expected in northern Israel and along the coastal plain.

On Tuesday, temperatures will dip slightly, mainly in the mountains and inland areas, under mostly cloudy skies. Local showers accompanied by isolated thunderstorms are expected in northern and central Israel, with a chance of localized rain in the Negev desert. There is a risk of flash flooding in streams in the Judean Desert and around the Dead Sea. Winds are also expected to strengthen, especially in southern Israel.
On Wednesday, temperatures will remain largely unchanged, with partly to mostly cloudy conditions. Local showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected through midday from northern Israel to the northern Negev. The risk of flash flooding will persist in streams in the Judean Desert, the Dead Sea region and the northern Arava valley. Rain will gradually taper off in the afternoon.
On Thursday, temperatures will rise slightly but remain below the seasonal norm. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy, with a chance of light local rain in northern Israel.
