Temperatures rise across Israel, dust and local rain ahead

Slight warming expected Thursday with further heat Friday, dusty air and possible sandstorms in the south; local showers and isolated thunderstorms forecast for the north and center by Saturday

Partly cloudy skies and a slight rise in temperatures are expected on Thursday.
On Friday, temperatures will climb further, becoming warmer than usual for the season. Conditions will be dusty, and sandstorms are forecast in southern Israel. In the afternoon, local showers accompanied by isolated thunderstorms are expected in northern cities, spreading to the center overnight.

Saturday will begin partly cloudy to clear, but by midday local rain is expected in the north and center. Isolated thunderstorms may still occur in the north during the morning hours. Temperatures will drop significantly, though they will remain above seasonal averages.
On Sunday, temperatures are forecast to rise again.
Forecast highs and lows for Thursday and overnight are as follows: Jerusalem 9-17 Celsius, Tel Aviv 13-22, Haifa 14-20, Safed 9-15, Katzrin 11-18, Tiberias 13-21, Nazareth 13-20, Afula 12-22, Beit She’an 14-24, Lod 13-22, Ashdod 12-22, Ein Gedi 17-25, Beersheba 9-21, Mitzpe Ramon 11-19 and Eilat 16-25.
