Friday’s weather in Israel will be partly cloudy to mostly clear, with temperatures climbing slightly, mainly in the mountains and inland, reaching somewhat above seasonal averages. Tonight will be clear to partly cloudy. No significant change in temperatures is expected in the coming days.
The hottest conditions are forecast in the Kinneret Valley, Jordan Valley and the Arava, where extreme heat is expected. Severe heat is also likely in the southern Golan and its slopes, the northern valleys, Lower Galilee, the Shephelah lowlands, the Dead Sea coast, the northern Negev, the Judean Desert and the eastern Negev.
More moderate but still noticeable heat is forecast in the northern Golan, Upper and Western Galilee, Carmel and Ramot Menashe, the coastal plain, the central mountains, Ramat Negev and Mount Negev.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will range from 30 to 70 centimeters (1 to 2.3 feet).
