After several days of cold, rainy weather, skies across Israel are expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy on Thursday, with a chance of light rain or drizzle, particularly along the southern coastal plain. Temperatures will rise slightly and remain near seasonal averages.
Thursday night will stay partly cloudy, with light rain or drizzle continuing in coastal areas.
On Friday, partly to mostly cloudy skies will persist. Light rain is forecast across northern and central Israel, and temperatures are expected to remain typical for this time of year.
Saturday will follow a similar pattern, with morning showers expected in the north and along the coast. Isolated thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon, and rain is forecast to spread to central Israel by evening.
More significant rainfall is expected Sunday, with intermittent showers from the north down to the northern Negev. Isolated thunderstorms are likely, and authorities have warned of possible flooding in low-lying coastal areas, particularly along the southern coastline. Flash floods are also possible in desert streambeds in the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea region. Snow is expected on Mount Hermon. Rainfall is expected to taper off gradually by late afternoon.
