Temperatures will rise slightly Sunday, reaching seasonal averages. Strong easterly winds are expected in the northern and central mountains, with skies mostly clear to partly cloudy due to high-altitude clouds. Overnight, strong winds will persist in the same areas with continued partial cloud cover.
Tomorrow (Monday), temperatures will climb further, becoming slightly above average. Most of the day will be clear, with strong easterly winds again in the north and central mountains.
Tuesday will bring another slight temperature rise, mainly in the mountains and inland, while the coast and lowlands may see a dip. Winds will pick up in the morning in northern highlands, and skies will remain mostly clear to partly cloudy.
By Wednesday, temperatures are expected to rise again in the north and central mountains, with partly cloudy to clear skies.
According to the Israel Meteorological Service, light rain may return over the weekend, but no significant weather systems are currently forecast, unlike those seen in mid-December.
Long-term ECMWF models suggest calmer weather locally over the next two weeks, while Europe may see increased cold spells and storm activity.
