The weather today (Friday) will be hotter than usual, with dry heat wave conditions and strong winds across most areas. From the afternoon, cooler and more humid air will move in, bringing hazy conditions. Localized rain is expected across much of the country, with possible thunderstorms and a risk of flash floods in streams in the Judean Desert and Dead Sea region, as well as the Negev and Arava. Overnight will remain hazy, with a chance of local rain mainly in eastern areas.
The Jerusalem Marathon is also taking place this morning in the capital, and due to the heat wave conditions, the full race has been canceled.

Tomorrow, temperatures will drop significantly and return to seasonal norms. Local rain is possible in northern Israel, while hazy conditions will persist, especially in the south. It will be partly cloudy with brisk winds in most areas.
On Sunday, it will be partly cloudy with local rain expected mainly in the north, along with a further drop in temperatures. Similar conditions are expected on Monday, with partly cloudy skies and a chance of local rain in the north. Temperatures will decline slightly again and fall below the seasonal average.
