Temperatures will dip but remain warmer than usual; overnight, weather will shift with showers and isolated thunderstorms starting in the north and spreading to the center; tomorrow brings local rain, with warming expected Wednesday

Monday will be warmer than usual across most of Israel, though temperatures will drop slightly, especially along the coastal plain and in the lowlands. Haze is possible, and strong easterly winds are expected in the northern mountains in the morning. At night, a sharp weather change is forecast, with showers, thunderstorms and hail developing first in the north, on the coast and in the lowlands, before spreading to additional central regions by early Tuesday. Local rain is also possible in the south.
Tomorrow, rain clouds are expected to build over eastern Israel and the Arava. Local showers will continue, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms. Due to heavy rainfall, there is a risk of significant urban flooding, mainly along the coast and in the lowlands, and a danger of flash floods in the streams of the Judean Desert, the Dead Sea area and the Arava — a risk that will persist through much of the day. Strong wind gusts are also possible near storm clouds.
