Most of Israel is expected to experience hotter-than-usual weather through Friday, with dry, desert-like conditions and strong winds forecast in some areas. A slight drop in coastal temperatures is expected Saturday, while light rain may arrive early next week.
On Friday, skies will be mostly clear with strong easterly winds in the northern and central mountains during the morning hours. Temperatures will rise, reaching unseasonably hot to sharav (heatwave) conditions across much of the country. In the afternoon, strong northerly winds are expected along the coastal plain.
Saturday will be mostly clear to partly cloudy. Temperatures are expected to dip slightly along the coast but will remain hotter than normal to heatwave-level in most regions. Afternoon winds will again pick up along the coastline.
Sunday will be partly to mostly cloudy, with continued unseasonably warm to heatwave conditions across most of the country. Similar weather is expected Monday, with a chance of light, localized rain developing in the afternoon.
