Wednesday will bring slight warming, mainly in the mountains, with clear to partly cloudy skies. Thursday will be slightly cooler, mainly in the mountains. No significant temperature change is expected Friday.
Meanwhile, much of the Northern Hemisphere is experiencing extreme spring heat waves. In Europe, the heat intensified Monday, breaking historic May records. Madrid recorded 30 C / 86 F, Paris 35 C / 95 F, western France and the Toulouse area 40 C / 104 F, and London 34.8 C / 94.6 F, slightly above the previous May record set 104 years ago. The early, extreme heat wave is expected to continue across Europe through the weekend.
