Record breaking temperatures in US, Israel heads into heatwave

Temperatures expected to rise above 40° C (104° F) with humidity along the coast and dry weather conditions further inland, incrasing the risk of fire; US East Coast breakes 100-year record for June

Israel is experiencing a heatwave that is expected to last through the beginning of next week with temperatures forecast to reach above 40° C (104° F) in some areas. On the coast, humidity will be around 70% while in the eastern areas dry weather conditions will increase the risk of fires.
Much of the northern hemisphere was experiencing extreme high temperatures, including in the United States where a 100-year record for June, was broken on the East Coast. New York, Boston Philadelphia and Baltimore all saw over 100° F

Southern Europe was also experiencing similar temperatures prompting the British Foreign Office to issue a travel warning to Spain, Italy, Greece and Cyprus. The heatwave came after torrential storms hit France, leaving at least 2 people dead and others wounded, and flooding Paris streets.
the National Assembly suspended proceedings due to a leaking domed ceiling. The French civil defense agency said some 100,000 homes were left without electricity.
