Israel is expected to see a gradual warming trend this week, with seasonal conditions on Monday giving way to above-average temperatures midweek, according to the national meteorological service.
Monday’s weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear, with a slight rise in temperatures typical for this time of year. The Mediterranean Sea will be choppy, with wave heights ranging from 50 to 80 centimeters (20 to 31 inches).
On Tuesday, skies will remain partly cloudy with a slight further increase in temperatures, making it slightly warmer than average. Northerly winds are forecast to strengthen in the afternoon along the coastal plain.
By Wednesday, temperatures will rise above seasonal norms, with increased northerly winds again expected in the afternoon along the coast.
Thursday will be mostly clear, with a slight drop in temperatures, though they will remain higher than usual for mid-October. Winds will pick up once again later in the day along the coastal plain.
