Israel is set for several days of hotter-than-normal weather, with temperatures climbing to around 3 to 4 degrees Celsius above the mid-September average in inland areas before a sharp cool-down later in the week.
Hot and dry conditions are expected to develop over the coming days. In Tel Aviv, daytime highs are forecast to remain around 31°C, while Jerusalem is expected to reach 32°C to 33°C. In Tiberias and around the Sea of Galilee, temperatures are expected to climb to 37°C to 38°C.

A noticeable change is forecast from Thursday, when temperatures are expected to begin falling.
The cooling trend is set to continue into the weekend, bringing the first signs of more autumn-like weather. On Friday, there is a good chance of local rain, mainly in northern Israel.
The cooler spell may be brief. Current forecasts suggest temperatures could rise again early next week ahead of Yom Kippur.
A more significant change in the weather, potentially including additional rainfall, could arrive toward the end of September and into October. With the forecast still relatively far out, however, there is considerable uncertainty and conditions may change.
