Cloudy conditions are expected across Israel on Wednesday, with light, localized rain forecast in most areas.
Temperatures will rise further along the coastal plain and in the Shfela, the lowland region between the coast and the Judean foothills and will be above the seasonal average. Haze is possible in the south. Rain is expected to intensify from the afternoon hours.
On the eve of the holiday, there is a risk of localized flash flooding in streams in the Judean Desert, the Dead Sea region, the Negev and the Arava, southern desert areas prone to sudden floods. The risk is expected to continue overnight. Showers accompanied by isolated thunderstorms are also forecast overnight in most parts of the country.
On Thursday, localized rain is still expected, with brisk winds continuing, particularly in the south and in mountainous areas. Conditions will gradually ease during the day, with rain and winds weakening, though a risk of flash flooding in southern streams will persist until around midday. Temperatures will drop slightly, mainly along the coastal plain and in the Shfela, and haze remains possible.
On Friday, temperatures will fall further, with partly cloudy to clear skies. Saturday is expected to be similar, with no significant change in temperatures.
