Light drizzle, cooler weather across Israel ahead of Simchat Torah holiday

Temperatures drop slightly Sunday with light drizzle expected in northern and central Israel; weather to warm up on Simchat Torah before cooling again midweek as Israelis mark the holiday and await the expected release of hostages from Gaza

Weather across Israel on Sunday is expected to be partly cloudy with a slight drop in temperatures, particularly in the mountainous and inland regions, according to the Israel Meteorological Service. Temperatures will be slightly below seasonal averages.
A light drizzle to scattered local showers is forecast in the north and central parts of the country throughout the day. Overnight, light rain is also possible, mainly in the north and along the coastal plain.

On Monday, which coincides with the eve of Simchat Torah and the expected release of hostages from Gaza, temperatures will rise slightly with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies.
Weather conditions on Tuesday, the holiday itself, are expected to remain similar, with another modest increase in temperatures, returning to seasonal norms. On Wednesday, a slight drop in temperatures is expected again, mainly in the mountains and inland areas.
