Light drizzle is possible Tuesday morning, mainly across northern Israel and along the Mediterranean coast, as skies remain partly to mostly cloudy before clearing later in the day, according to the Israel Meteorological Service.
Temperatures are expected to edge lower, while light drizzle could return overnight in northern areas and along the coast.
The ultraviolet index is forecast to reach very high to extreme levels nationwide. Extreme heat stress is expected in the Dead Sea region, the Jordan Valley and the Arava Desert. The Mediterranean Sea will be choppy, with waves of 1 to 1.5 meters (3.3 to 4.9 feet).
Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Wednesday, with light drizzle or isolated showers possible during the morning, especially in northern Israel and along the coastal plain. Temperatures are expected to fall slightly again, mainly in the hills and inland areas.
On Thursday, morning clouds will gradually clear, leaving mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will rise slightly, particularly in the hills and inland regions, but will remain slightly below the seasonal average.
Friday is expected to be mostly sunny after morning cloud cover dissipates. Temperatures will climb slightly again in the hills and inland areas, returning to seasonal norms.
