Rainy and cooler weather is expected across Israel on Thursday, during the Passover holiday, with a risk of flash floods in southern regions.
The day will be mostly cloudy, with local showers forecast in most parts of the country and strong winds, particularly in the south and in mountainous areas. Temperatures are expected to drop and return to seasonal averages.
By midday, rainfall is expected to weaken and winds will gradually ease. However, there remains a risk of flash floods in streams in the eastern Negev, northern Arava and the Judean Desert, including the Dead Sea region.
Later in the day, haze is expected to develop gradually across much of the country. Overnight, light local rain may continue in many areas, with hazy conditions still possible in some regions.
On Friday, temperatures are expected to drop further, while Saturday is forecast to remain largely unchanged.
By Sunday afternoon, local rain is expected in northern and central Israel, accompanied by another drop in temperatures, which will fall below the seasonal average.
