Israel will see slightly cooler temperatures Monday, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and temperatures dipping below seasonal averages in the mountains. Local rain, mostly light, could begin toward Tuesday morning, particularly in the southern Negev and Arava. The Mediterranean will be calm to moderately wavy, with waves ranging from 40 to 80 centimeters.
Temperatures will fall slightly further Tuesday, remaining below seasonal averages mainly in the mountains and inland areas. Local rain is expected primarily in southern and eastern Israel, with a slight risk of flash floods in streams in the southern Negev and Arava.
Temperatures will rise Wednesday and return to seasonal averages, while northerly winds are expected to strengthen along the Mediterranean coast during the afternoon.
Thursday will be clear to partly cloudy, with another rise in temperatures bringing readings above seasonal averages. Strong northerly winds are again expected along the coast during the afternoon.
