Oded Moskovitz, a 47-year-old resident of Tiberias, shared his experience with Ynet, saying, "I was at work and saw a bottle of mineral water moving, and immediately understood that it was an earthquake. It was scary. My wife was at home and felt dizzy but the dogs did not bark. I am a veteran Tiberian and already used to these earthquakes, the earthquake was short and intense."

Revital Golan Hagai from Hadera described the event as follows: "The whole building moved. I live on the sixth floor and work from home. The building suddenly started to shake, really moving from side to side. The ceiling lights swung and all the furniture moved. Luckily nothing broke. It was scary and lasted a long time. When I realized it was an earthquake, I ran to the shelter and sat there for a few minutes with the door open. Now I'm afraid of aftershocks."
Eyal, a resident of the southern Golan Heights, said, "Everything in my office shook. I thought it was a boom on my voice due to the war, but it turns out it was an earthquake." A resident of Haifa mentioned, "I am in the lower city and felt my chair move", while another added, "The computer screen swayed."
Bat El Ben-David, a resident of Hatzor Haglilit, noted that the earthquake was also well felt in her town. "I work from home and sat next to the computer. It started to shake, and also a vase with flowers started to shake. I thought I was getting dizzy but really the whole table shook. It was long, about 10 seconds," she said.

In February of the previous year, the Home Front Command updated the guidelines for appropriate behavior during an earthquake, following a severe earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria and was also felt in Israel.
The instructions suggest going out to an open area when receiving a warning about an earthquake or when noticing signs of an earthquake, if possible. If it's not possible to leave the building within a few seconds, one should enter the shelter and leave the door and windows open, or go out to the stairwell and continue to descend until leaving the building. If neither of these actions is possible, one should sit in an inner corner of the room or under heavy furniture and protect the head with the hands.
