The weather on Wednesday will be hotter than usual to unseasonably hot, with a sharp rise in temperatures, especially along the coastal plain and in the lowlands. Strong easterly winds will blow in the north and in the central highlands, with possible haze in those areas.
Toward midday, winds will strengthen in the south as well, where local sandstorms are possible. By the afternoon, conditions will shift, with localized rain accompanied by thunderstorms developing in the center and south and gradually spreading north. There is a risk of flash floods in the Negev desert, the Arava desert valley, and in streams in the Judean Desert and Dead Sea region. Overnight, rainfall will ease, though the flood risk will persist.
On Thursday, temperatures will drop significantly and humidity will rise. Intermittent rain with isolated thunderstorms is expected in the morning, mainly in the north, spreading to the center by the afternoon. Flash flooding remains possible in Judean Desert streams and the Dead Sea area. Gusty winds will blow across most regions.
On Friday, intermittent rain will continue in the north, with strong winds across much of the country. Temperatures will fall further, dropping below the seasonal average.
On Saturday, occasional rain is expected, with a continued risk of flash floods in the Negev, the Arava and streams in the Judean Desert and Dead Sea region. Temperatures will continue to decline and remain slightly below average for the season.
