Skies across Israel were mostly clear Tuesday, with temperatures slightly above seasonal averages, particularly in the hills and inland areas. The Mediterranean Sea was calm to slightly choppy, with wave heights ranging between 40 and 70 centimeters (1.3 to 2.3 feet).
A slight drop in temperatures is expected Wednesday in mountainous and inland regions. On Thursday, skies will range from partly cloudy to mostly clear, and temperatures are forecast to rise again, climbing above seasonal norms. Strong northerly winds are expected along the coast in the afternoon.
Friday will bring further warming, especially along the coastal plain and lowlands, with hot and potentially unseasonably dry (sharav) conditions expected in many parts of the country. Breezy northerly winds will return to the coastal plain during the afternoon, and localized showers may develop, mainly in the southeastern regions.
