Sunday will be partly cloudy to clear, with temperatures climbing again, particularly in the mountains and inland areas, where they will be slightly above normal for the season.
A further slight increase in temperatures is expected Monday, with warmer-than-average conditions continuing across most of Israel.

Record-breaking rainfall triggered flash floods in the desert

The forecast follows an extraordinary weather event Tuesday, Election Day, when exceptionally heavy rainfall struck southern Israel and broke a record for rainfall intensity in the desert.
In the Ramon Crater area, 35.6 millimeters (1.4 inches) of rain fell in just 10 minutes, an unprecedented intensity recorded in the region.
According to the Israel Meteorological Service, Tuesday's storm brought unusually large amounts of rainfall to southern and eastern Israel. Rainfall intensity was particularly severe, reaching rare levels in parts of the southern Arava and eastern Negev.
The downpours triggered widespread flash flooding in streams near the Dead Sea, across the Negev and in the Arava. Some areas also experienced thunderstorms, hail and strong wind gusts.
