Israel gets brief heat relief as local rain develops

Temperatures dip below seasonal norms Monday and Tuesday with possible rain in the east, before heat builds again Wednesday and Thursday

Israel will see partly cloudy skies Monday, with a slight drop in temperatures, mainly in the mountains and inland areas, according to the forecast.
Temperatures will be slightly below seasonal averages, bringing some relief from the heat. Local rain is possible from the afternoon, mainly in eastern Israel.

Partly cloudy conditions will continue overnight. Toward Tuesday morning, drizzle or light local rain is possible, particularly along the northern coastal plain.
A further slight cooling is expected Tuesday, with temperatures remaining somewhat below average for this time of year.
Wednesday is expected to turn mostly clear after morning clouds dissipate. Temperatures will rise slightly in the mountains and inland, with heat stress increasing.
A further rise in temperatures is forecast for Thursday, when readings are expected to climb slightly above seasonal averages across most of the country. Heat stress will intensify and is expected to be heavy in most areas.
