Temperatures on Monday will be below the seasonal average, with scattered showers expected in northern and central Israel.
A slight rise in temperatures is forecast for Tuesday, followed by another modest increase on Wednesday. However, local rain is expected to develop during the day across most parts of the country, with a chance of thunderstorms.
At the same time, strong winds are expected and haze may develop, mainly in southern Israel. There is also a risk of flash flooding in streams in the Judean Desert (the arid region east of Jerusalem), the Dead Sea area and the Negev.
On Thursday, temperatures will return to seasonal norms. Occasional drizzle to light rain is expected, along with possible haze.
