From morning until midday, rain is forecast from the Sharon region south to the Ashdod area, including the Tel Aviv metropolitan area and the Shfela. The Israel Meteorological Service said the Lachish region could see about 60 to 80 millimeters of rain within just a few hours, compared with around 150 millimeters that fell there during last Tuesday’s storm. Flooding is again possible in the area, along with strong flows in the Sorek and Lachish streams and their tributaries. The rain may cause flash floods, and many streams in central Israel are expected to flow, including in Samaria, Binyamin, Judea, the Judean Lowlands and the Jerusalem area. This follows a weekend that featured relatively pleasant and even sunny weather.
