Hula Valley reopens to visitors for Israel’s Independence Day after safety checks

KKL-JNF says the popular northern nature site will welcome the public again following inspections after the ceasefire with Iran, allowing families to return for holiday outings and birdwatching

Following safety inspections conducted after the ceasefire with Iran, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) will reopen the Hula Valley to the public on Israel’s 78th Independence Day.
Starting Wednesday, April 22, 2026, visitors will once again be able to enjoy the site’s open spaces and birdwatching opportunities, marking the return of one of northern Israel’s most popular nature destinations. The reopening allows families and travelers to celebrate the holiday in the heart of the valley’s landscape, while maintaining a focus on visitor safety.
