Thursday’s weather will be partly cloudy. In the morning, light drizzle to localized showers are possible in the north and center. Temperatures will dip slightly, and brisk winds will blow overnight in the northern hills.
On Friday, temperatures will rise to above seasonal averages. Skies will be mostly clear, though strong easterly winds will blow in the northern hills during the morning. Haze is possible, mostly in eastern areas, and drizzle may develop from the afternoon hours. Overnight, fog is expected along the coastal plain, in the lowlands and in the northern Negev.
Saturday will be partly cloudy, with temperatures still above average for the season. Strong easterly winds will continue in the north during the morning. Haze remains possible, mainly in the east, and drizzle may develop again from the afternoon.
The Israel Meteorological Service has warned of a new haze event expected to affect the country over the weekend, on Friday and Saturday. The haze is not expected to be as severe as last weekend’s episode, but strong easterly winds with gusts of around 60 kph are forecast in cities, bringing dust and reduced visibility. Haze may be heavy in inland areas and in the hills, and this should be taken into account when planning outdoor activities.
On Sunday, temperatures will drop markedly, especially in the hills and inland areas, and local rain is expected in the north and center.
