Weather forecast: cooler temperatures, light rain in north

Alongside the cooling trend, light rain may reach central Israel; temperatures will rise Thursday and Friday with dusty conditions and southern sandstorms, before a marked cooldown Saturday brings local rain to the north and center and isolated thunderstorms in the north

Local rain is expected in northern Israel today (Wednesday), with isolated thunderstorms possible. Light, scattered rain may also reach central areas. Temperatures will dip slightly, and local rain is still forecast overnight.
Thursday will be partly cloudy with a slight rise in temperatures. A further increase is expected Friday, when it will become warmer than usual for the season. Winds will strengthen during the day, creating dusty conditions. Local sandstorms are forecast in the south, and by the afternoon, local rain accompanied by isolated thunderstorms is expected, mainly in the north.

Saturday will be partly cloudy to clear. Local rain is forecast in the north and central Israel through the afternoon hours, with isolated thunderstorms possible in the north in the morning. Temperatures will drop markedly but will remain slightly above the seasonal average.
