Temperatures will climb significantly across Israel on Thursday, with heatwave conditions in most areas. Cooler, humid air will arrive at night, bringing a chance of light local rain mainly in the north
Israel will see a sharp rise in temperatures today (Thursday), with partly cloudy skies and heatwave conditions developing in most parts of the country. By the evening and overnight hours, however, cooler and more humid air will move in, and light local rain may fall, mainly in northern Israel.
On Friday, brisk westerly winds will blow, temperatures will drop significantly and conditions will become slightly cooler than usual for the season. On Saturday, temperatures will fall a little further and remain slightly below seasonal averages. Light local rain is possible in the morning, mainly in the north and along the coast.
Another sharp change is expected on Sunday, when temperatures will rise significantly again. It will become warmer than usual to scorching in most areas, with partly cloudy skies, mainly high clouds, and a noticeable increase in heat stress across much of the country.
